You just clicked a sponsored link.
In a real email, two things would have happened in the blink before the advertiser's page loaded:
The click was counted for the sender. Maya's link is hers alone, so the click credits her — and if you went on to become a customer, she'd earn a share of the commission.
You'd already be gone. Real links forward you straight to the advertiser's site — you'd never see this page. It exists only because Acme Ledger, sensibly, does not.
